National Potato Chip Day and How to Make Tater Chips

March 14 is National Potato Chip Day you can celebrate the easy way and just eat your favorite kind of chip or you can try some flavors you have never tried before.

We are going to make our own tater chips today. All you need are some potatoes and cooking oil and salt.

Peel the potatoes and slice them very thin, so thin that you can see the knife blade underneath the slice. Get your oil hot and drop in a few slices at a time. Watch them very close because they are done very fast. Remove them from the oil and place on paper towels to drain them of any excess oil. You can then salt them and try other spices on them to make new flavors. You could try paprika, pepper, onion salt, garlic salt and more on them.
